Koprivnica Hosts International Meeting of CCSI4CCSI Project Partners

From June 16 to 18, 2026, the City of Koprivnica and Enter Koprivnica hosted the fifth international meeting of partners for the CCSI4CCSI project (Creative and Cultural Sectors and Industries for Collaboration, Competitiveness, Sustainability and Innovation), implemented under the Interreg Europe program. During the three-day event, representatives of partner organizations from Greece, Poland, Denmark, and Belgium stayed in Koprivnica to exchange experiences and good practice examples in the field of developing cultural and creative sectors and their social roles.

The program began with a presentation of the City of Koprivnica's creative and cultural ecosystem, as well as local policies and initiatives aimed at developing social activities and inclusivity. Participants visited the FUNK social-cultural center, where they took part in the "Funkcycle" workshop led by Bojan Koštić, creating various decorations from discarded items.

On the first day, special emphasis was placed on presenting good practice examples from the partner regions. Participants had the opportunity to hear about experiences in social entrepreneurship and the employment of people with disabilities, the development of inclusive cultural content, the importance of public information for the local community, and the involvement of young people through social experiments and cultural activities.

The program also included a visit to the Podravka company, during which the work of the Zlata Bartl Foundation was presented as an example of socially responsible business and support for the local community.

The second day was dedicated to professional work on improving the public policies addressed by the project. Partners participated in a peer review workshop and shared experiences related to the development and monitoring of policies for cultural and creative sectors. The results of joint analyses regarding sector needs and trends were presented, and recommendations for further policy improvement at regional and local levels were defined through group work.

Participants also visited the Old Town Đurđevac and the Đurđevac Sands Visitor Center, where they learned about the rich cultural and natural heritage of Koprivnica-Križevci County.

On the final day, a meeting of the Project Steering Committee was held. Partners analyzed the results achieved so far, financial and communication activities, and defined the next implementation steps, including the drafting of policy recommendations and further stakeholder engagement activities.

By hosting this international meeting, the City of Koprivnica and Enter Koprivnica have once again confirmed their active role in European projects that encourage the development of cultural and creative sectors, social inclusion, innovation, and the sustainable development of the local community.

The project is funded by the Interreg Europe program, with a total value of €1,558,854.00. Project duration: April 1, 2024 – June 30, 2028.
