Exchange of Experience and Strengthening Cross-Border Cooperation within the Bridging Borders Project

Within the framework of the Bridging Borders project (Interreg VI-A Hungary-Croatia), Enter Koprivnica hosted partners and entrepreneurs for a productive meeting dedicated to the exchange of experiences, best practice examples, and the strengthening of economic ties between Croatia and Hungary.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Virovitica-Podravina County Incubator Network, the Zala County Foundation for Enterprise Promotion, and Somogy-Flandres Nonprofit Ltd. Together with the Enter Koprivnica team, they analyzed past successes and explored future cooperation opportunities.

Best Practice Examples: From EU Funds to Successful Business
The program commenced with a series of insightful lectures.

  • Lara Smolek presented the successful cooperation of the SILVIJA TURIST agency, highlighting the vital importance of connecting tourism stakeholders from both sides of the border.
  • Katarina Sabolić shared the extensive experience of the Municipality of Legrad, which has been successfully implementing projects in cooperation with Hungarian partners for years, significantly strengthening the local community
  • Renowned entrepreneur and educator Kristina Ercegović delivered a lecture on the topic "How to Recognize Opportunities and Scale a Business." Through concrete examples and practical advice, Ercegović encouraged participants to engage in strategic thinking regarding business growth and expansion.

Focus on Female Entrepreneurship: Empowering Women in Cross-Border Business
A special segment of the program was dedicated to activities aimed at empowering women in the professional world, titled "Empowering Women in Cross-Border Business." During this session, female entrepreneurs worked on an interactive workshop focused on adapting their business models to contemporary market challenges.

Site Visit: Technological Advancement in Practice
The exchange of experience continued with a visit to the company Pobis, which serves as an excellent example of how targeted EU funds—specifically through B Light projects—can be utilized for significant technological and operational business development. Participants had the opportunity to see firsthand how cross-border financial support directly boosts market competitiveness.

This meeting once again confirmed that the synergy between international partners and the exchange of concrete knowledge are key drivers for the development of a sustainable cross-border entrepreneurial ecosystem.
