Enter Koprivnica in Bergamo: Innovative Solutions for Heritage Preservation and Rural Growth within the THRIVE Project

As part of the international THRIVE project, which aims to increase the attractiveness of rural areas by preserving and promoting endangered Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH), Enter Koprivnica participated in an intensive boot camp competition held in Bergamo, Italy.

The event, hosted by project partner PROVBG, brought together experts and young talents to find creative solutions that encourage talent retention in rural areas and bridge the gap between urban and rural communities.

The Role of Enter Koprivnica’s Experts
Enter Koprivnica provided two experts (Ivan Ivanovi and Ivan Valent) who spent two days mentoring participants and guiding their idea development. Their roles were essential in ensuring the high quality of the proposed solutions:

Heritage and IP Advisory: Ivan Valent focused on keeping the participants' ideas deeply rooted in intangible cultural heritage. In addition to advice on preservation methods, participants received crucial insights into intellectual property rights within the creative industries.
Entrepreneurial Development and Technology: Ivan Ivanović guided teams through the process of transforming a concept into a viable product or service. The focus was on budget planning, crafting a compelling sales pitch, and integrating modern technologies and creative thinking tools into project development.

From Creative Thinking to Winning Solutions
The boot camp program was divided into two phases. The first day was dedicated to creative thinking methods and idea generation techniques, where participants learned about the vital link between creativity, technology, and entrepreneurship. On the second day, with continuous mentorship, the talents finalized their projects and presented them to a professional jury.

Serving as members of the jury, the experts from Enter Koprivnica participated in selecting the three best projects together with partners from Provincia di Bergamo (IT), Municipio do Fundao (P) and Enter Koprivnica (CRO) that demonstrated the greatest potential for attracting talent and digitalizing cultural heritage.

This event is a significant step forward in developing the THRIVE project's territorial strategy. Our goal is to empower rural communities and ensure that their rich intangible heritage becomes a key resource for future economic and social development.
