Take a chance and help tackle coronavirus! Sign up for the #EUvsVirus Hackathon

To find solutions related to coronavirus, the European Commission is organizing a unique initiative panEU Hackaton #EUvsVirus.

The goal of Hackaton itself is to develop innovative solutions in terms of high or low technology, software or hardware, with the application of biotechnology, digital technology, social sciences and other innovations. The event is aimed at European communities of start-ups, innovators, traders, manufacturers, public and private customers and end-users. In order to address the immediate problems of the crisis in various technological fields, the purpose of #EUvsVirus online Hackaton is to link and coordinate innovators, partners and purchases across Europe.

The event will be held from 24th to 26th April 2020. Participants will work on their solutions followed by an online pitch and a selection of the best projects. The selected projects will be published on the platform of the European Innovation Council, thus gaining access to end users - investors, foundations and focusing on current European Commission financing options.

The development of solutions and prototypes is anticipated in 37 challenges in 6 areas:

  • Health & Life
  • Business Continuity
  • Social & Political Cohesion
  • Remote Working and Education
  • Digital Finance
  • Other

Applications deadline is 19. april.
