On January 14. 2019. was held an introductory lecture of the IT boot camp, at which all interested and signed up to the boot camp could receive more information about boot camp education, program and activities.
The IT boot camp is part of the "PARTNERSHIP FOR ALL 2" project approved for funding by the European Union under the call "Local Employment Promotion Initiatives - Phase III" from the European Social Fund. The project runs from 14.05.2018. to 11.13.2020. It’s total value is HRK 1.999.427,02 (EU co-financing is 99.08%). The project leader is PORA, with project partners: Enter Koprivnica Ltd., Koprivnica-Križevci County, Croatian Employment Service Regional Office Križevci, CCC County Chamber of Koprivnica, Croatian chamber of Trades and Crafts of Koprivnica-Križevci County.
The general goal of the project is to contribute to the employability of the long-term unemployed, women and young people up to 29 years old in the labour market of Koprivnica-Križevci county through the implementation of innovative local employment promotion initiatives. The specific goal of the project is to ensure the effective implementation of the current Human Resources Development Strategy of the Koprivnica-Križevci county and the sustainable functioning of the Local Partnership for Employment of Koprivnica-Križevci county.
The program is primarily intended for young unemployed people aged 20 to 29 years - part-time students, active job seekers, Croatian Employment Service registrants - but also anyone interested and eager for knowledge, regardless of age and working status. It is a three-month free-of-charge program through which young unemployed people can acquire various digital and information technology skills and entrepreneurship skills.
In the introductory lecture, the mentors briefly introduced themselves, their businesses and trades, and discussed the program through which the boot camp participants will go.
Martina Mak, director of Enter Koprivnica Ltd. emphasized the role of the Incubator as a support institution for anyone who decides to enter into an entrepreneurial venture. "We have already done boot camps, but this time we have the opportunity to work with young people who need these skills, who don’t have their own idea. We hope that through the three-month program, some ideas will come up here, that they’ll find what they are really doing well, or love to work and in the end succeed. Finally, the project itself has the possibility of awarding 13 grants of HRK 30.000,00 for those who want to start their own business. This is another grant, with the support of the CES, for those who want to get into their own business, "said Martina Mak, director of Enter Koprivnica Ltd. at the opening hour. At the opening hour IT boot camp attendees were also greeted by Mayor of the City of Koprivnica Mišel Jakšić and his deputy, Ksenija Ostriž.
