Importance of interregional exchange of experiences and their influence on developing LSG

Through Interreg project Region Arts Croatian partner Enter gain opportunity to visit partners regions and learn from the best. In addition to the opportunity to learn about innovation, see different cultures and get to know the partners better, exchange of experiences are extremely important because of the insight into the way other regions work, their approach to problems and business processes.

Partner Enter, as a learning partner involved in project Region Arts, was given the opportunity to be acquainted with the good practices of the partners and pass them on to stakeholders in Croatia, it also become familiar with various regional policies. During its activities, Enter gathered different stakeholders from ICT and ART world and stakeholders from policymaking institutions. Some of them were participating in exchange of experiences to get better insight into project activities. Enter has close relationship with Ministry of the Economy, Entrepreneurship and Crafts and HAMAG – BICRO (Croatian Agency for SMS, Investment and Innovation) which are institutions responsible for policy creating.

In this period partner had two stakeholders meeting where project activities and action plan were discussed. First one was with representatives of ART and ICT through their organisations Radiona, Tetrabot and Kontejner and second one was with representative of the Ministry of the Economy, Entrepreneurship and Crafts. On the last one, there were discussion about current and future programing period. Enter’s suggestions about activities of the action plan were recognized as useful and necessary in achieving the competitiveness and innovation of SMEs. Enter presented good practice of the Italian partners with DIH thematic. Before that, representatives of the Enter talked to the representative of Italian National Confederation of Crafts and SMEs, which is responsible for establishing DIH to gain more information about the DIH and its activities.

In conclusion, chance to collaborate, exchange knowledge and create networks has improved work of partner Enter and pushed it to try to influence and improve policies. Stakeholders involved in the project give us information on the needs of the sectors, the problems they are facing and suggestions from their side for resolving it. They spread information about the project among different actors and thus raise awareness of the importance of interdisciplinary collaborations.

Region Arts (Enhancing SME growth through the integration of Artists in ICT projects) was funded through the INTERREG EUROPE program. The project involves 8 partners from 7 countries, and the project value is € 1,635,670.00.
